| Located in the beautiful Hutt Valley of New
Zealand, directly north of capital city Wellington, Lower Hutt
City is the biggest and most dominant football club in the
region. Boasting over eight hundred members Lower Hutt is always a strong
presence in all levels of the game. We are extremely proud of
our junior programme with over five hundred youngsters playing
for teams fielded by Lower Hutt. In 2004, we also introduced a
highly successful nursery grade for children under the age of
six to have a bit of fun and begin to learn the game.
Lower Hutt last won its main competition in 2003, after a
spectacular seventeen-win one-loss season, and has now turned
its sights to the newly formed Central League set to begin in
2005. This new league will feature clubs from both the
Wellington region and the lower North Island including Napier
City Rovers, Palmerston North Marist, Gisborne City Marist,
Havelock North Wanderers and Manawatu AFC. The level of
competition in this new league should be very high and everyone
at the club is looking forward to the challenge.
