It's time out for Warren and Tracey Elvy! Warren has bought himself a Harley and after many, many, many years helping out at the club, they're scaling back their activities to enjoy the kiwi countryside instead. And they certainly deserve it.
Warren joined the club in 1973 as a junior player and continued to play right through into the seniors. He also coached at junior level for several years and twice won his league. He's been a strong contributor on the Executive Committee and has never been afraid of getting his hands dirty with the more practical tasks required.
With wife Tracey, Warren has run the club bar for over 20 years. Together they've also looked after all the Club bookings, helped run the housie (back in the day) and kept our clubroom and gym superbly clean.
Both are Life Members of the club and are hugely admired for the commitment, they, and their family, have made to the Club.
Happy Harleying! |
