U19’s Movie Night success

Last night the club held our annual u19’s movie night fundraiser at a SOLD-OUT screening of Christopher Nolan’s latest blockbuster Dunkirk. A great night was had by all in attendance with over 20 raffle prizes being taken home by some lucky winners.

A huge thank you must go out to all who helped organize the event and the sale of tickets especially Verinia Elmy who has worked tirelessly to ensure that all the tickets were sold and money was collected. Special thanks to Lighthouse Cinema Petone for hosting the event, Yates Freight Ltd, Revive Espresso Limited and Boulcott Farm Golf Club for their donations to our raffle. Also a big thanks to Tania Wylie for making up the lolly bags and putting all the raffles together.

The focus will soon turn to the grass as the boys begin preparations for the Naiper Tournament. But we will first see them in action in the upcoming Ivan England Tournament.

Thanks again to everyone who has supported the boys so far!

Strong weekend for Senior Mens teams

Following a mixed bag of results to open the 2017 season, all teams were looking to either continue or get back to winning ways.

The Central League team came out on top in what could only be described as a roller-coaster of a match v Palmerston North Marist 3-1 down at one stage but battling back to win 4-3 and keep an unbeaten start to the season.

The capital Premier Hutt city Placemakers side continued their winning form taking out Wellington Olympic 2-0 on Sunday, seeing them continue to stay joint top of the table in the early rounds.

Unfortunately Capital 2 couldn't join the winning party and went down fighting 9-3 to a strong Waikanae side.
