October Holiday Camp

Our ever popular school holiday programme will be returning next month during the October school holidays.

Again running from our Indoor Training facility at Fraser Park on the 9th-13th October from 9am-2pm.

We have frozen prices from our winter camp at $20 per day, and if you sign up for 3 or more days again you will get a camp t-shirt to keep.

Junior Prize-giving reminder

A reminder to all junior parents and coaches that the junior prizegiving will be held this Saturday, 9th of September, in the club gym at Fraser Park.

In similar fashion to last season we will be separating the junior club in two for prize-giving so please note the times below:

7th,8th,9th ,10th Grades- 10:30-12:00
11th,12th,13th,14th Grades- 12:30-2:00

We would like to ask that all players are present 10 minutes prior to the start of their time slot to ensure that the events can start on time.

Parent(s)/whanau are being asked to contribute to the festivities by bringing a plate. Just to mix it up we will ask each team player to bring a "sweet" or "savoury".

Capital Select XI v Wellington Phoenix

Weka park 2pm 2/9/17

Upcoming this weekend is the annual fixture between the Capital Select XI and the Wellington Phoenix.

Held at Weka Park on the Kapiti Coast on Saturday 2nd September, this years Select XI will feature our very own James Marsh and Taylor Schrijvers. This is also a great opportunity to get up close with the new look phoenix side preparing for this years A-league campaign. So, head to Weka park this Saturday and support the boys.

FIFA 11+ Course at Lower Hutt

Sadie Verity from New Zealand Football will be running a FIFA 11+ course out of the club Gym on Monday 21st of August at 7pm. The course is completely free and there will even be some food on the go too. We highly recommend this to all of our club coaches and managers as well as players who may want to reduce their chance of injury.

Fraser Park Sportsville Golf Day

The 1st annual Fraser Park Sportville Golf fundraiser tournament is just around the corner. Being held at Boulcott Park Heritage Golf Club on Friday 22nd of September it’s the perfect opportunity to get a four ball together and try out the course.

With entry only $50 per person and including your full round of golf plus light refreshments in the club house afterwards its great value for money and it will all be going towards a fantastic cause.

Hutt Park 7th and 8th grade festival

This weekend brings the Hutt Park stop on the Capital Football 7th and 8th grade football festival. All 8th grade pools will be playing from 9 am through to 10 am and all 7th grade pools will be from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. U19’s Movie Night success

Last night the club held our annual u19’s movie night fundraiser at a SOLD-OUT screening of Christopher Nolan’s latest blockbuster Dunkirk. A great night was had by all in attendance with over 20 raffle prizes being taken home by some lucky winners.

A huge thank you must go out to all who helped organize the event and the sale of tickets especially Verinia Elmy who has worked tirelessly to ensure that all the tickets were sold and money was collected. Special thanks to Lighthouse Cinema Petone for hosting the event, Yates Freight Ltd, Revive Espresso Limited and Boulcott Farm Golf Club for their donations to our raffle. Also a big thanks to Tania Wylie for making up the lolly bags and putting all the raffles together.

The focus will soon turn to the grass as the boys begin preparations for the Naiper Tournament. But we will first see them in action in the upcoming Ivan England Tournament.

Coaching Masterclass with JOSE FIGUEIRA

Capital Football's July Masterclass coaching session sees Jose Figueira present on Creating and Evolving your Football Philosophy and Positional Play at Capital Football on Friday 28 June.

Jose is currently the Head Coach of Team Wellington, who this year won the National League Title against Auckland City FC. He has also held a number of significant roles including NZ U17s’ coaching roles in both the male and female set ups. He has also spent time at New York Red bulls in America as a youth coach.

The masterclass is completely free and will be held at Capital Football, Bracken Street, Petone on the 28th of July.

Steve Coleman appointed NZ Secondary Schools Head Coach

Congradulartions to our Men's Central League coach Steve Coleman has been named NZ Secondary School's Head Coach. He will hold the position for the next two years. Congratulations Steve from everyone at the club!

Lower Hutt City AFC launch Community Programme

Lower Hutt City AFC is delighted to announce the unveiling of our Community programme logo and also that Subway Waiwhetu will be joining as Principle Partners of the programme. This is a great capture for the club and we are delighted to have Subway on-board supporting the programme from the launch, their support will help ensure we reach the targets set for the programme in the coming years. It will officially launch with Koraunui School in Stokes Valley next week and we certainly are looking forward to working closely with all the schools to see where we can further promote a healthy, active and happy lifestyle to the students.

New Zealand Football Skills Centre is coming to LOWER HUTT! Are you aged between 8-12 and want to develop your football skills then this is the place to be! We will develop players for the future game, ensuring that they maximise their potential through engaging, fun sessions and high quality coaching
