Ivan joined Lower Hutt City AFC in 1935 as a 16 year old, and during his playing career captained many of the youth and senior teams, and was also a member of Hutt Valley representative teams at youth and senior levels. He joined the club's Executive Committee and served in various roles; Committee member, Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer - a role he held for many years. In recognition of his enormous services to the club and sport, Ivan was awarded a life membership.
Ivan's love of football saw him instigate the Hutt Valley Junior Football Association, which at its time was one of the largest in Aotearoa New Zealand. Here he again served in many roles; secretary, treasurer, chairman and president and was awarded a life membership for services to the association.
His vast experience as a football administrator was recognised at national level through his election to the New Zealand Football Association Executive & Council.

Ivan England U19 Men's Tournament dates
Games will be played on Saturdays (with Sunday's being a reserve day option if necessary) on the following dates:
Games played are shortened to be in line with Napier U19 Tournament, and teams will play a minimum of two games per team per weekend.
All players must be aged between 15 and 19 years (must therefore be born on or after the 1st of January 2007 and be 15 on or before 22 October 2026). Dispensations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
All games in September will be played on Fraser Park grass, sand based and artificial turfs. All October games will be played on Fraser Park artificial.
Entry Process
This year entries will be via the Friendly Manager platform –you will use this platform to submit your team / staff lists and note any conflicts / scheduling preferences, view your draws and results.

Entry Fee
Due to significant cost increases across the board but in particular ground hire, we’ve had to adjust the entry fee this year. The fee is $625 (+GST) per team. This includes a referee for all group games, and three point control for the final.
